New Book Releases for May/June 2012

It’s been awhile since I’ve done this, but I wanted to give authors an opportunity to post any recent books they’ve released.  Thanks to C.G. Ayling for the reminder.

He has just released the sequel to his fantasy novel, Beltamar’s War (free on Smashwords), and hoped for a chance to get the word out.  If anyone is interested in a fantasy series, you might check into it.  The second book is titled The Pilgrimage and can be found here on Amazon.

To C G, and everyone else, if you would like to offer more info on your latest books please do so in the comments section.  The title, link to where it can be purchased, genre, and short description (including length) would be helpful.  Please keep the links to no more than two or your comment will end up in the moderation queue.  Sometimes it takes awhile before I check in and approve it.

Thanks to everyone in advance.  If any of you have an expected release for July/August, feel free to shoot me an email reminding me to do another one of these posts around that time so you can have a chance to announce your book.

  1. Great job Susan. I just tweeted out both book links you provided in hopes to help a Fellow Author out.

  2. Hi everyone, introducing my new paranormal romance novel about two young people from abused backgrounds who fall in love, sustain injuries in war and go on to build a wonderful life.
Sequin Boy and Cindy – available on Kindle

  3. Thanks for the opportunity, Mistress! Sleepy Willow’s Heartless Soul (The Narcoleptic Vampire Series Vol. 2) was released May 16th on Kindle and paperback editions. This is the sequel to Sleepy Willow’s Bonded Soul (The Narcoleptic Vampire Series Vol. 1). Neither are for the squeamish or easily-offended.

The series is about a vampire with narcolepsy who works at a fetish club as a Necrophilia Specialist. She has a love interest with a personality disorder and a controlling maistre. Since vampirism is illegal, she finds herself in a mess at every turn.

  4. Thanks Susan! I forgot about posting the latest books here.

Novel Ideas, a YA adventure (80,000 words). Available at Amazon:

Chronicles of Time, a time-travel adventure series (Book 1 65,000 words, Book 2 75,000 words). Available at Amazon:

Both are also available on Nook, Smashwords, etc., and Novel Ideas is available in paperback.

  5. Thank for the mention Susan, greatly appreciated. About my series, Malmaxa. I’ll be frank upfront, this is a complicated story. It is couched as Fantasy, and I hope that those genre’s readers will enjoy it. However, it is really a philosophical look at the state of our world, and of individual character. I consider hardship the crucible in which character forms.

Imagine a world where everything that grants us comfort, is stripped away. No social hierarchy, no government, no laws (except six divine ones), no organized religion, no money, no technology. Nothing you’ll find familiar – at all! Yet without me mentioning these things, you might never realize their lack.

When the only thing left that remains familiar is individual character, the question becomes – do they fare well, or poorly. If that is the type of question you enjoy investigating, then the Malmaxa series might be for you.

A promise I can make is that you have never read anything quite like it. Notice I don’t promise you’ll enjoy Malmaxa, or that it will change your world, or even answer any questions you might have – those are things for you to discover. The great news is that if you don’t like it, no problem – the first book in the series is currently completely free on Smashwords – don’t like it, just throw it in the eBook garbage heap and all you’ll have lost is the most precious thing any of us have – time.

PS. The book has a Glossary, most readers only discover this at the books end, when it is no longer of use…
